Can I visit the UK for one week with a Moldovian passport and a 1 year French resident card?

  • If it helps, anecdotally, I found that it was fast (~1.5 weeks) and relatively rubber stamp to get a UK visa while being an EU resident holding a non-visa-free-to-UK passport, though I am employed (it may be different for students etc), have alright travel history. The visa sure costs a lot though.

Moldovan citizens need a visa to visit the UK, the French resident card doesn't make a difference. If you have a visa, you do not need an ETA.
